Spencer has a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, College of Law. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a licensed Attorney, in the State of Colorado, and is registered as a Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Before starting the law office of Spencer A. Gibbs, LLC, Mr. Gibbs worked for more than a dozen years in Colorado Intellectual Property law firms. He has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications as well as in counselling clients in Intellectual Property Law. Prior to entering the field of law, he worked as a consulting electrical engineer in the Denver area.
Spencer A. Gibbs, LLC is located on the Western Slope of Colorado in the town of Montrose. Montrose is near some of the best outdoor recreation areas that Colorado has to offer. World class skiing, in Telluride and Crested Butte, are only a short distance from town. There is also camping, hiking, mountain biking, and off-roading, as well as hunting and fishing all along the Western Slope. The nearby town of Ouray has natural hot-springs pools; and the beautiful Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is just a few minutes East of Montrose.
